NUTRITION with Catherine

Our in house Nutrition & Weight Management consultant Catherine Hume specialises in health and condition related nutrition.


In her profession as a Nutrition Advisor, Catherine provides sound nutrition advice and counseling to clients wishing to live healthier and manage their weight. Catherine uses Nutritics Professional Software to analyse her clients food diaries and provides advice and recommendations based on her findings. She has experience working with clients on 8 week weight management programmes, whereby they have had great results achieving their goals. She has worked with amateur athletes helping improve their sport performance through nutritional behaviour change coaching and feeding strategies. 

Catherine is a level III Advanced Nutrition Advisor, with experience in nutrition and weight management, sport nutrition and behaviour change coaching. Catherine uses the latest nutritional science and health studies as the basis for her advice, all of which helps towards her long term sustainable approach to healthy eating. Whatever your nutritional goal Catherine will be able to help whether you want to gain, lose or maintain weight, or fuel your body for an upcoming event Catherine will be with you every step of the way to ensure you succeed.

Analysing your diet

Did you know your constant tiredness, lack of energy and fatigue could be as a result of your diet. Or maybe you aren’t performing as well as you should be in sport. Discover which nutrients your body is lacking and which you may need to reduce.

I use Nutritics software to analyse your food diaries, example screenshots for which are below. Please note the lower and upper limit parameters vary person to person and will be tailored specifically to you.

Weekly meetings to discuss your progress and make changes to your diet. We use dietary software to analyse your food diaries & provide advice to help you improve your nutrition profile & loose weight.

Example breakdown of a meal;

Cod spaghetti with brocolli, chopped tomatoes, splash of garlic oil, easy chillies, spring onion (green part only), spinach and red pepper.

Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 cod loins
30g spinach
50g brocolli
50g red pepper
200g gf spaghetti
400g chopped tomatoes – drained of liquid
1 tsp garlic infused oil
1 spring onion (green part only)
1/2 tsp easy chillies

1) Bring a large pan of water to the boil
2) Meanwhile fry the cod loin in the garlic oil, chillies, 1/2 spring onion on a medium heat for 4 minutes.
3) The saucepan water should now be boiled, add your pasta and cook per package instructions.
4) Meanwhile add the tomatoes and brocolli to the frying pan and cook for a further 5 minutes. Add the pepper and spinach and cook until the pasta is al dente.
5) Drain the pasta and add to the frying pan.Cook through for a further minute.
6) Ensure the fish is cooked through and serve.

Do you prefer a sweet or savoury breakfast?

Here is an example of different choices Catherine can offer.

On the savoury toast half a mashed avocado topped with mixed baby tomatoes. On the sweet toast a thin spread of all natural no added sugar peanut butter, half a grilled banana small drizzle of maple syrup and a pinch of mixed seeds.
